Volunteer…
You needn’t be a member or a “good” dancer or any kind of a dancer to participate: you can just check things out.
One way to see if the dancesport community is for you is by volunteering. Almost every one of the events in our calendar uses volunteers to help with organization before-hand and with the activity itself. If an event in our calendar includes no contact, contact us at info@nasspda.org.
Come to social events…
These include dances, classes, fundraising events, and a few other things. For a dance or dance class, you needn’t have a partner.
Come to a competition…
Dispel those memories of gym class! You don’t have to be a competitor–you don’t have to know anything at all–and you don’t need a partner. Most competitions include all levels of dance from beginner to very advanced. Sometimes there are line dances that don’t require a partner. Short classes are usually offered at breaks in the competition and all levels of dancers participate in these classes.
