ESSDA European Championships at the 2024 Eurogames

The team of the popular Vienna Dance Contest is organizing the Dancing Tournament and will welcome you with love. We proudly announce that we are in the final stages to agree the European Same-Sex Dance Championships 2024, licensed by the European Same-Sex Dance Association (ESSDA). The event will be judged according to their rules.
For this special occasion, we have found the perfect venue: the Sofiensäle in Vienna, a stunning historic ballroom with a fantastic wooden sprung floor, pillars, a grand staircase, a bar with mirrors, and a gallery. Johann Strauss I performed there regularly and conducted at the opening ball of the house in 1848. You’ll be dancing where many of the Strauss family’s waltzes were first performed.
A glamorous Ball (creative black tie) will be held on the last evening of the tournament for which the ticket will be included in the competitors fee. For visitor tickets come back here later.
The Ballroom Dancing/Dancesport categories of the tournament are Open and Senior Standard, Latin (both international style) and Showdance Couples and Teams. For male* (*=self identified) /nonbinary couples and female*/nonbinary couples, the Standard and Latin competitions will be held as separate Open (+18) or Senior competitions. There will also be a combined Latin and Standard ranking. There will also be a Showdance competition
