NASSPDA Same-Sex Dance Community Promotion Grant
In an effort to foster growth in our same-sex dance community in both social events and competitions, NASSPDA offers organizers the opportunity to apply for financial assistance to help produce specific same-sex dance related activities.
Up to 4 grants of $250 each will be awarded per calendar year on a first-come first-served basis to applicants who can demonstrate that the proposed activity will advance NASSPDA’s mission of promoting and expanding social and competitive same-sex partner dancing. The proposed event should also be in alignment with NASSPDA’s following goals:
• Support functions and venues for social same-sex partner dancing.
• Provide a resource for same-sex partner dancers.
• Aim to raise the level of same-sex partner dancing
• Encourage the inclusion of dancers from diverse backgrounds with regard to race, ethnicity, gender, age, [dis]ability, gender identity and/or expression.
Applications must be received no later than 90 days before activity. A response from NASSPDA either accepting or denying the application will be made no later than 30 days prior to the start of the activity.
NASSPDA reserves the right to refuse full or partial financial support if the activity is cancelled or does not reasonably meet all the criteria the applicant listed on the application.

Recipients of this grant is expected to contribute an article on the success of their activity to the NASSPDA e-newsletter, complete the post-activity form and submit copies of the expenses (receipts). Only after all of these criteria have been completed to the satisfaction of the Board will a reimbursement be paid out.
